2023: The Year of Jackpots!
It's the start of a new year! Which means it's time to pop the kettle on and sink into Jackpotjoy's edition of 2023 wrapped. It's been another busy year for us here, with exciting live shows, new bingo features and even an award for Best Proprietary Bingo Site making it onto our shelf.
We're not here to blow our own trumpet, though. At Jackpotjoy, our members mean more to us than fancy awards and new game releases. So, in true Jackpotjoy-style, our 2023 wrapped is all about celebrating our member's best winning moments of the year. And what makes an unbeatable winning moment? A jackpot, of course!
The highlights of the year
Creating winning moments is what we do, which is why we're over the moon to announce that we paid out a whopping £8,583,762 in jackpot prizes in 2023 alone. That's the equivalent of over 94,000 years' worth of the average monthly TV subscription in the UK! Or, if you’re feeling peckish, over 24 million packets of tasty custard-flavoured biscuits (a bigger biscuit tin might be needed).
The biggest winning moment of the year went to one lucky spinner of Secrets of the Phoenix Jackpot, who managed to pocket an incredible £338,907 jackpot while enjoying an Aztec adventure on the fiery reels.
Our Secrets of the Phoenix Jackpot player wasn’t the only jackpot winner of 2023, though. Over 6,080 of our fabulous members were granted the very fancy title of "Grand Jackpot Winner" over the year. OK, you got us – we made that title up, but it sounds good, right?
Some lucky players even scooped themselves not one but two(!) jackpot prizes last year. We ran the maths and figured out that a total of 10,261 jackpots were paid out to those 6,080 Grand Jackpot Winners. Looks like lightning can strike twice.

Talking about lightning striking twice… two of our biggest jackpot wins of the year played out (get it?) on the same game! Secrets of the Phoenix Jackpot didn't just pay out the biggest jackpot prize of 2023, it also awarded the third biggest prize of the year. Impressive, huh?
Don't even get us started on Double Bubble Triple Jackpot. This slot popped off in 2023, with a bubble-whammy result of fourth and fifth place in our top jackpot wins of the year.

Two of our favourite things in the whole world? Bingo and jackpots! All the community spirit with the chance to scoop an incredible prize – we're big fans.
