Easter's nearly here, and if you're planning to play bingo online this long weekend, why not give your game a seasonal twist? Whether you're hosting an Easter party with the family, setting up an Easter bingo game at home, or logging into your favourite bingo site between chocolate eggs, Easter bingo calls are a cracking way to mark the occasion.

We've put together a list of Easter bingo calls - some you'll want to use, some that are so bad they're brilliant, and a few that never should have made it past the brainstorm. All in good fun, obviously.

What are themed bingo calls?

If you're new to Easter bingo, here's the short version: bingo calls are the rhymes and phrases shouted out (or displayed on screen) when each number is drawn. Think of them as your bingo calling cards; the cards and calls that give every number its moment.

Traditional (and funny!) bingo calls like "Two Fat Ladies, 88" and "Legs Eleven, 11" have been part of the game for decades. Themed calls simply swap in seasonal references - so instead of "Doctor's Orders, Number 9," you might hear "Easter Sunday, feeling fine, Number 9."

These calls don't change how online bingo games work. Your bingo card is still your bingo card; the rules of 90-ball bingo, 75-ball bingo, or 80-ball bingo stay the same, and cash prizes are still on the table. It's just a bit of seasonal dressing.

Easter bingo calls: The full list

  • Number 1 - Cracked and Done

One egg, one crack. That's Easter started.

  • Number 2 - Easter Shoe

A nod to the old tradition of buying new shoes for Easter Sunday. Bit niche, admittedly.

  • Number 3 - Egg Hunt Spree

Three little ones running around the garden in their wellies. Classic.

  • Number 4 - Knock on the Door

The Easter Bunny's been. You either got a basket or you didn't. No in between.

  • Number 5 - Egg Hunt Alive

Still looking for number five. Check behind the plant pot.

  • Number 6 - Easter Chicks

All fluffy and yellow. Adorable until they grow up.

  • Number 7 - Bunny Heaven

Self-explanatory. The Easter Bunny is living his best life.

  • Number 8 - Chocolate on the Plate

Your chocolate egg in eight pieces. Down to six now. Four. Gone.

  • Number 9 - Easter Sunday, Feeling Fine

Long weekend vibe. You've earned it.

  • Number 10 - Chocolate Hen

A hollow milk chocolate hen. An Easter staple, and honestly underrated.

  • Number 11 - Easter Chicks, Legs Eleven

Legs Eleven gets a springtime upgrade.

  • Number 13 - Lucky for Some, Easter Bring

A bit of a stretch, but we stand by it.

  • Number 16 - Easter Scene

Rolling hills, daffodils, the works.

  • Number 17 - Daffodil Dream

Because nothing says spring in the UK like a slightly wind-battered daffodil.

  • Number 21 - Easter Fun

Short, sweet, gets the job done.

  • Number 22 - Two Little Eggs

Two twin eggs on a bingo ticket. Lovely.

  • Number 28 - Hot Cross Wait

You've been staring at the oven for twenty minutes. Is it done? Is it not?

  • Number 30 - Easter Egg Galore

Thirty eggs hidden. Thirty eggs to find.

  • Number 33 - Two Easter Trees

Decorating trees with painted eggs is a proper thing. Look it up.

  • Number 40 - Easter Show

Time to gather round and see who's won the egg decorating competition.

  • Number 44 - Bunny Ears

Those foam ones that every family member reluctantly wears for the photo.

  • Number 54 - Easter Roar

The kids at 6 am on Easter Sunday. Terrifying.

  • Number 55 - Spring Is Alive

Every flower, every lamb, all of it. Here we go.

  • Number 60 - Easter Basket Overflow

More eggs than any one person should have. And yet...

  • Number 66 - Clickety Click, Easter Chick

A seasonal spin on the classic call.

  • Number 76 - Chocolate Fix

By the time you hit 76, someone's already on their third egg.

  • Number 80 - Easter Bunny's Eight-O

The bunny's worked hard this year. He deserves a rest.

  • Number 88 - Two Fat Bunnies

Two Fat Ladies gets an Easter rebrand. The bunny community approves.

  • Number 90 - Top of the Nest

The big one. In 90-ball bingo, this is where the full house lives.

The Easter calls that didn't quite make the cut

Not every Easter bingo call survives the editorial process. Here are a few that were submitted but rejected:

  • "Crème egg, Number 3" - Rhymes with nothing, means nothing, and now we want one. Disqualified on principle.

  • "Omelette du Jour, Number 4" - French. Wrong holiday. Wrong continent. Absolutely no.

  • "Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit, Number 33" - Three rabbits, three syllables, and somehow still completely useless as a call.

  • "Easter Parade, Number 8" - Sounds promising until you realise nobody has actually been to an Easter parade. Ever.

  • "Spring Forward, Number 60" - That's clocks. Clocks do that. Not bingo.

Filed away for next year, where they will be rejected again.

How to bring Easter bingo calls to your game

If you're playing at home with friends or family, Easter bingo calls are easy to slot in. Print off your Easter bingo cards - there are plenty of free printable Easter bingo templates online (or use phone-based ones), assign a bingo caller, and let them work through the list above. Mix in some seasonal calls from other times of year too; our spring bingo calls guide and summer bingo calls guide are worth a browse if you want more themed inspiration beyond Easter.

For online bingo, the calls are already handled - you're there to mark your bingo ticket and keep an eye on the numbers. But knowing the Easter versions adds a lot of fun when you're playing during the holiday.
