Our in-depth guide below covers everything you need to know about bingo rules.

General Bingo Rules

Bingo rules vary hugely depending if you’re playing online or in a land-based hall. This is largely due to the nature of the game and the environment in which you’re playing, which means that there’s actually very few online bingo rules! Rules differ between games, so be sure to check how to play the one that you’ve chosen.

Once you’ve purchased your bingo tickets and entered the room, the game will start at the designated time and begins when the first ball has been drawn. If the number appears on your card, it will be automatically crossed off for you and balls will continue to be drawn until all winning patterns have been awarded.

90-Ball Bingo Rules

Commonly known as the UK-version, 90-ball bingo is played on a card with nine columns and three rows, with 15 numbers that need ticking off. There are prizes for completing one line, two lines and a full house as quickly as possible - individual lines are won by completing any horizontal line of numbers. The prize values increase as the game progresses.

75-Ball Bingo Rules

75-ball bingo is typically favoured in the US. It’s played on a 5x5 card featuring 25 squares with - you guessed it - numbers from one to 75. Unlike 90-ball bingo, 75-ball games require numbers to be ticked off in a certain pattern, which you’ll be informed of at the beginning of the game.

Chat Room Etiquette

Playing bingo online is a fun, sociable and engaging experience. This is largely due to our award-winning chat rooms that allow players to interact with one another as well as our hosts. Chat rooms are there to enhance your gameplay, which means that we have a few “rules” in place to maintain the friendly atmosphere that our community cherishes.

All we ask is that you’re polite and courteous to all players and chat hosts; avoid swearing and aggressive language; keep conversations PG-13 and get involved in the positive chat room vibes. For more information on chat guidelines, visit our FAQ page.
